Five reasons why India may loose against Pakistan for first time in the World Cup

India Vs Pakistan is considered as one of the top class fight in the cricket field. When it comes to the world cup the temperature and tension further goes higher. Pakistan had an upper hand in the head-to-head count, claiming 72 of the 126 battles, but in the ICC World Cups India leading by a margin of 5-0. In 2015 ICC world cup there are several factors which may go against India in the arch-rival battle. India had to fight hard in order to keep up the winning streak, but this is not as easy as Pakistan will come up with a strong fight to open their account in the world cup against India. Let us analyse top five factors which may be big hurdles for India.

1. The Sachin effect

This is the first world cup clash between India and Pakistan without Sachin Tendulkar. Since 1992 the Sachin effect had a huge psychological advantage over the Pakistanis. The one man army who came for India’s rescue in the most needed times for last two decades was played big role in the clashes. The void created by his retirement has not filled so far. With Sachin Tendulkar less India, Pakistan possesses an upper hand this time.

2. The bowling department

When we look at the bowling performance Pakistan is way ahead of India. The recent Australian series revealed the real face of Indian bowling attack out side the sub-continent. The Pakistan fast bowlers can make the difference in the Australian conditions.

3. Shahid Afridi

Shahid Afridi’s performance especially when playing against India is a crucial fact. Afridi already announced his retirement after the 2015 world cup. The Boom Boom will try to make his last world cup memorable with a win over India. Afridi’s last-ball six to take Pakistan through against India in Asia Cup – 2014 in Miandad style will haunt India a lot.

4. India’s bad form

The team India’s ODI performance in the tri-nation series which recently concluded in Australia was a big set back. India has to compete in the same conditions, which will be a big worry for the Indian side. India’s batting and bowling departments could not live up to the situation and is a big concern .

5. Shattered middle order

The Indian middle order batsmen Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, Ambati Rayudu and MS Dhoni failed in the recently concluded Mid-Carton Tri-Series in Australia. If the Indian Openers fails (most likely considering Dhawan’s poor form), this middle order is not so strong enough to steady the innings. Also this is the most brittle middle-order line-up India having in the World Cup events.
